EvolutionConsult

IDC's Initiative EvolutionConsult is developing and testing a revolutionary consultancy concept suited to enhance the fitness of organisations and directed to improve their dynamic evolution. This concept is based on the latest scientific research and uses interdisciplinary findings from evolutionary processes to enhance longevity of organisations.

Every Company or Enterprise must tackle two fundamental challenges, to secure its organisational sustainability. First, it must be well adapted to its environment. Only those Organisations and Companies that are at the same time accepted and recognised by its clients as well as its competitors, rivals and central players in the social and political sphere, has a reasonable chance to survive in often fiercely struggled environments. Although efficiency and recognition are essential, they are not sufficient in the longer run because particular configurations that provide for efficiency and legitimacy today may be worthless tomorrow. Therefore, to be statically adapted is insufficient for the organisations well-being over time. There must be second, the ability to permanent adaptation. Adaptability includes the timely and adequate response to environmental changes and is the basis for an organisations' sustainability.

Both fundamental conditions for success are basically the same not only for Companies, Organisations and other institutionalised Systems, but first of all for biological organisms. Given the fundamental character of biological mechanisms of change, there universal applicability in many different situations of social live is not quite astonishing. Most of all the practical value of the concept and mechanisms of biological evolution deserve more attention. With its strategies of diversification, differentiation and adaptation, developed over millions of years, Nature provides the guidelines on how systems may sustainable improve there fitness and ability to survive.

EvolutionConsult is decided to uncover, adapt and apply these criteria of fitness in the field of consultancy and therefore develops solutions designed to help bridging the gap between optimal static efficiency and necessary flexibility to react to foreseeable and unforeseeable changes in the organisations environment. By translating evolutionary principles to yours organisations situation, Evolution Consult optimises the mixture of efficiency and flexibility that is best to the sustainable fitness and the resulting success.
