IDC invited to Meeting of the US Presidential Bioethics Commission
The US Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues held its first meeting on July 8-9 in Washington, DC.  The primary topic was synthetic biology.

Born in Oberndorf, Germany. Lecturer at the Institut für Politikwissenschaft at the University of Vienna. Masters Degree in Political Sciences (Master thesis in International Relations on Private Military Companies) after studying at the University of Vienna and at Institut d’Études Politiques (Paris). Ongoing research in the field of privatisation processes in international relations and defence politics. In 2004, he was awarded with the “Nachwuchspreis” of the Austrian Society for Political Sciences (ÖGPW). Currently PhD. candidate in Political Sciences (Thesis on the implications of digital payment systems and private money substitutes for state institutions). Special interests in innovative finance, Islamic banking, monetary systems and policy, central banking, transformation of states by innovation-driven processes and path-dependence of institutional adaptation.
