Camillo Meinhart
Occupied with film and video since the age of 16. First successes came soon with some of his short movies at Austrian youth film festivals. In 1996, at the age of only 20 years, he realised his first commercial industrial movie for “Blaguss Reisen”. Other film jobs followed soon (Nokia, Hewlett Packard etc.). In 2001, he co-founded the “Viewfinders Film Coorporation”. In 2004, after three commercially successful years, he left the company to have more time for own projects and to join IDC. Besides commercial works, he engaged in lots of non-commercial projects: 1996 – 1999, he worked for the first Austrian University Television; since 2002, he runs a satirical website dealing with actual political, social and cultural themes (http://www.diemeinungsfreien.org). In 2003, he produced “Peaceflight” – a documentary about an 80 years old Styrian, who flew with his parachute from Austria to St. Peters Square in Rome. In 2004, he invented and realised “Ohne Kohle”, an international independent video- & film-festival. At present, Camillo Meinhart works as a freelance Cameraman and Cutter for national and international TV Stations and Press Agencies. e-mail
