The International Infrastructure Dialogue Centre – IDC is committed to encouraging and enabling multilateral dialogue on international infrastructures.
International infrastructure projects frequently take place in a context of conflicting interests. IDC is engaged in
• facilitating interaction between actors and stakeholders,
• supporting exchange of different positions, and
• advising strategic decision-making
Special emphasis is given to sustainable development pathways and societal responsibility from a European perspective.
IDC is an independent platform established in 2002 under the Austrian law of Association. Prior to its rebranding and refocusing on international infrastructures in 2021, it operated under the name “Organisation for International Dialogue and Conflict Management” as an independent research association on a wider range of societal challenges, from local development and climate change to technology assessments.
